Eat a legendary NY black and white cookie-- Check!

Alright, so I thought it was going to be the Mediterranean next, but I hit up another checklist item... eat a black and white cookie. These black and white cookies have been a part of New Yorkers since 1902. It has a cake like bottom with dark chocolate fondant on the one side and vanilla fondant on the other.
I was feeling a bit under the weather today and went to get some soup at a nearby bakery. The dude asked if the soup (italian wedding lentils) was going to be it, and then I picked up this cookie. The owner looked at me and said, "It's on the house. You look like you could use one today..." uh, thanks I guess!
Me and free food lately, Carribbean last week, now Black and White this week! (At least this guy was NOT 50, hitting on me, and had a wife and kids)
So thank you man at "in between the bread"! The cookie was delicious! And it did make my day a little brighter!

and see ya for reals! time for the mediterranean!

to do: dance it up in the city... check!

It was a friend's birthday and she had her party at club prime in the city. A lot of people showed up and it was such a blast... note to self- NEVER wear high heels all day long, and then expect to last dancing... my feet killed not only that night, but the whole next day!

watch a band at a venue in the city-- check!

I thought I'd add a few more things from last week.I love bands, i love venues, i love the city, i love cuties...
We met up with a lot of people we know, and cheered these guys on! (notice guy on left from the knickerbocker game)
with a band comes the afterparty, right?! Mmm... the creperie in the west village was absolutely delightful.some of the groupies. my crepe was the "famous crepe"- it had the works. strawberries, bananas, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, ice cream and what else?...

after hangin with the band, j got a bit tuckered out... it's rough hangin with the rockstars, taking an hour trek back, and wakin up 3 hours later for work.

p.s.

I will be disappearing again... my sis is treating me to a Mediterranean cruise! I am off this Thursday and I am SOOOOOOO excited! I'm sure there will be quite the blog update soon enough of all of our adventures... Italy, Croatia, Turkey, Greece, and wherever else, HERE I COME! Wahoo!

on the road again to celebrate Easter at Mels!

What's Easter without some egg searchin and candy stuffin?hmm... maybe i can coax my mom into getting me an easter dress in lieu of more grand kids! :)Let the fun in Blacksburg roll!

(yes, that is my toothbrush in my nieces mouth... that sneaky thing. she found it right after its use and couldn't get enough of it... i got a new one!)

Thank you Jorgensen Fam for the super fun time!

DC temple sittin it up!

babysit duty 'r us! we were going to watch mel's kiddos while she went to my cuz temple sealing. then we had 4 more added on totaling 8! Wowzers. They were great for the first bit until they tried to convince us they go to the park in pouring down rain and got a bit stirk crazy from seeing everything at the visitors center. we attempted to go out in the rain... that lasted all but 2 minutes! Poor kiddos and poor sitters not knowin what to do!

the Quickest Roady Ever...

Most of the trip was driving, but way worth it to see my sis and the fam for a bit! I wish it could've been longer, but J had to get back for work, and I had stuff I could be doin.

along with that... j and i did the quickest dash to some of the monuments the night we got in... i think we dashed around to 7 of them in 2 hrs... crazy. we knew the next day was going to be at the temple so we had to squeeze what we could in.

(pardon the water dots on the lense... grrr)

Internship Complete!

So you wonder where I've been... well, I was taken over with getting everything wrapped up with my internship! I finished last Friday, and it's still been a whirlwind since!
They threw me a good-bye breakfast! Nothing like NY bagels... they brew em different here... really. They do.

one of my supervisors, the director, me of course, another sup, and the secretary.More of the crew...

do I look excited?!! Everyone was so nice. They gave me gifts, a sweet card, and not to mention, the best internship ever! Straight from here, J and I were off to DC and VA for some family fun!

Meet the Knickerbockers at MSG

Yep... you got it. You know the sports lover in me, so you know I was in heaven... even more in heaven when my previous (old news now) ward crush showed up and sat right behind me... heart started racing! Too bad I have become so awkward, like return missionary awkward, when it comes to flirtation since Jeff (whom is now engaged after dating a girl for one month). Ok, so I did pretty well with one dude since lameo, but sinceI think a spell has been put on me!

Pic did NOT give him justice...

i'm sorry... i'm back though!

So life got a little crazy there for a while. Mainly because I was finishing up my internship and had a ton to do, then once that was over, I had a lot to catch up on! So my apologies! But, now, more info than you wanted to know!
