A quickie to AZ for AUDREY'S BAPTISM!

I can't believe my niece, Audrey, is eight! I am so excited for her and her decision to be baptized. She is a wonderful girl in my life and holds a special place in my heart. Devin and I drove down from Utah for a quick weekend trip to be able to support her.
Devin and I went hiking up south mountain. We encountered a few huge lizards of some sort and yes... a rattler. But, I didn't see it because I did what you shouldn't do and booked it down the hill to get away from it as fast as possible. Devin and his friend Eric had to take a detour.
The special day! May 31, 2008. Audrey and her dad, Ward
My cutie patutie! Check out my chopped off hair!
The aunts and uncle
Later that day, the fam all headed to the Diamondbacks game!
We had loads of fun!Hannah loved her Kettle Corn!
Max is for sure lovin the game. He loves baseball!

A little vid! D-Backs won and the crowd got way into it!

Now to Charleston!

Carolina! Barefoot on them beaches!!!...

Just a sign you don't see every day. This is called, "bummer beach"- it was so windy the sand was pelting us and kind of hard to not only keep our stuff from blowing away, but ourselves as well!Mel and I showin off the cute Charleston roadsKnown as the "Rainbow House" StreetCheck out the cobblestone roads!Kickin up their heels in some southern rockers.
I feel I have not emphasized the delicious goods I ate. Above, the group with some scrumptious desserts.A delicious crabcake burger
Um... this looks sick, but was great! Good ole southern jumbolya. It was also my first experience eating okra (sp?). Loved it all. This is alligator plantation... ok. really magnolia plantation but the most exciting/scary/coolest/thrilling/heart accelerating/fearful time of the trip. The plantation had lots of swamps... and in those swamps alligators!

There were no fences and the paths to get to places went right by quite a few where I was literally ready to run for my life!

A pretty bridge at the plantation. The plantation was quite different than I expected. Not really any fields. Just lots and lots of trees, swamps, ... and alligators!

Girl Time!

Thanks to my sis Melanie, who got the trip going, all three sisters as well as one of Melanie's friends were able to take off to Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina! It was my first adventure to the south and I had a great time. Thank you sisters and Jenna for a trip I'll never forget!
Startin off with Savannah!

off to the airport for our red eye flight! Georgia here we come!

So this is the thing to do in Savannah... eat Pralines! They are very sweet pecan things. They were tasty, but I could only handle a tiny bite at a time.
There were so many cool homes. We got to tour the home of the lady that began girlscouts. It was fun to travel back in history. We went to a cool cemetary with tombs dating back in the 1700's. Michelle and Lisa taking a break on the "Forest Gump" bench.
For those of you that watch the food network and watch Paula Dean... Yes! We went and ate at her restaurant in Savannah. She pretty much owns the city. J/K But her stuff IS EvErYwHeRe!
So this is Spanish Moss that grows and droops down on the trees. We later found out it shouldn't be played with because it is the home to chiggers, mites, lice and who knows what else! Good Luck Mitchell! Me and my friend Marliyn kickin it

The gang on river street. River street, yes has a river, as well as many fun shops, restaurants we dined in, and some occasional crazy's.
You can't go to Savannah without going on a ghost tour! We decided to make it more entertaining by riding around in a hearse while the driver pointed out all the spooky places as well as some Savannah history!
We took a ferry ride out on the river. I guess I decided to me a model...

The taffy man. Making fresh salt water taffy that goes off in a machine, is tied up and then shoots right into the shelf for you to buy.

This is us on the prettiest street in America! Thats not my own vote, it is in the books somewhere.

After A TON of walking, we treated ourselves to a much needed pedicure. Which feet are mine? ;)

BEWARE!

So I have had some random comments lately. If you ever receive a comment from someone you don't know and it has a link saying "click here"- DON'T DO IT! One was a link to some virus something or other and I learned not to click on the next. In talking with a friend, she said she once clicked on it and it was pornography, so just a little FYI... delete any comment you see like that. If they don't comment on your actual page it is not important!
